Volunteer Opportunities

Interested in volunteering your time to help women and children rebuild their lives? Become part of the solution to addressing the root causes of homelessness in our Community by sharing your gifts and talents with us. Our volunteer base is diverse and experienced in many areas. We have opportunities for individuals, families or groups who want to share their time and talents with Christina’s House.

  • House Mother or Respite House Mother

    Want to join or team and become one of the most important pieces of the Christina's House mission.  Do you have a desire to devote yourself and your time as a missionary?  There are two ways to do this.  You can apply to become a House Mother (6 month minimum commitment) or Respite House Mother (two nights per week) to provide care, love, and guidance for the program families of Christina’s House!

  • Admin Aces

    Duties include greeting guests, answering phones, copying, filing, organizing, and general support for the staff.

  • Donation Dudes & Divas

    Help organize and inventory types and quantities of stored clothing and other resources being collected for residents. May be asked to pick up donations or exchange items.

  • Homework Hounds

    Provide tutoring or help with homework during the school year. 

  • Life Skills Lessons

    Lead a one-hour workshop to help the women and/or youth deal with the challenges of everyday life.

  • Maintenance

    Work as needed within our two homes to paint, make minor repairs, rake and mow the yard, etc.

  • Movie Night Sponsors

    Volunteers provide an appropriate movie and bring snacks!

  • Music Instructors

    Play an instrument or love to sing? We’d love to have you give individual or group lessons, or facilitate a music and movement class!

  • Painting Projects

    There are interior and exterior areas which require either touch up work or need to be entirely repainted.

  • Play Pals

    Help coordinate fun activities or provide childcare for our kiddos while moms are working or in classes.

  • Read Aloud Times

    Pick a fun book and let the kids get caught up in a great story!

  • Special Events/Projects

    We participate in many fundraising events that require lots of help. Join a committee to get involved!

  • Sponsor a Child’s Summer Camp

    The Summer Camp Scholarship Program provides full-tuition and fees for summer camp for children who reside at Christina’s House.

  • Enrichment Activities

    Sponsor an outing such as bowling, mini golf, going to a movie, or visiting a museum. If you have an idea, let us know!
