Our Mission and Vision

Christina’s House, Incorporated is a Christ-centered ministry with a mission to educate, embrace and encourage women and their children who are homeless or near homeless through the love of Jesus Christ.  Our vision is to provide the selected mothers and their children with life skills needed to become self-sufficient as they transition from homelessness to permanent and stable environments.

Our Success Stories

Nayda- Mom of the Month

"When I needed support and help Christina’s House opened their doors for me and my son. I remember Jenn said that it was not going to be easy living with other people and following the program, but if you stick with it and work the program, you will be able to be self-sufficient by the time you graduate. I stated that’s okay I can do it... I thought that was not going to be hard, but Jenn was absolutely right! There have been points in my journey where I wanted to quit, but I persevere and keep going to finish what I started. I continually pray to God for strength and wisdom and speak often to the staff throughout this process. Praying and speaking to staff help me to keep being persistent in my goals and dreams. I overall want to achieve my goals so I can have a future, I can help others achieve their goals too, and most importantly succeed to be an example for my son. I keep going so he can be a good man in the future and know that he can achieve anything he desires. He will know that with God's help and effort, he can follow his hopes and dreams."

Karrie- Graduate Mom

"In 2018 I went into recovery in search of finding myself. When I was almost a year sober I found my self in search of somewhere I could go to be able to get my children back in my life. I searched so many places and most would not take a child over the age of six. Then someone recommended Christina’s House to me. I called and got an interview and I have to say it was one of the most intense and long interviews I have ever had. After 3 months I got a call on 3/23/2019 that I was accepted into the program with my daughter Rozlyn. Christina’s House taught me so much about Christ and about life, I never though I would learn. They helped me learn how to have healthy boundaries with my children and those around me. They Helped me learn how to manage my money and to save. They also helped me find my contact with the lord which was a piece in my recovery I was searching for and did not know how to find it till I moved to Christina’s House. Through everything they have taught me I was able to get both my children back in my life, get married to an amazing man through Christ and was able to purchase our first home. Today I have 5 years sober and I am still following the Lord through all that Christina's house has taught me. I also give back to Christina’s House through groups I put on for the new mothers that come into the home to also help give hope that through Christ anything is possible".

Carolyn- Executive Director

"It started with Ice cream. I am amazed every single day by the power of God. In late 2016 I hear of Christina’s House through my church. I did an ice cream social with a women’s small group I was leading at the time. I knew then that I belong in the ministry but didn’t know in what capacity or why I felt that way. I started volunteering my time and cooking for the families. In 2019 I went through a very hard financial hardship that led me to become a program participant. Christina’s House saved my life from the inside out. I have three amazing daughters that are full of life, ambition, goals, and vision because of the partnership I received at Christina’s House. Now I am humbled, honored, and just filled with gratitude that I am able to proudly say I am the Executive Director of Christina’s House. To support the women and their children, lead a great group of people, and keep God at the center of it all it’s an amazing feeling and every day I feel like I hit the Jack Pot. I can say today that the struggles come and goes, life is hard as a single mom, but the joy is there, and my spirit is full. I feel loved, I am Loved, and just to know it all started with Ice cream".
